A place to speak, to listen, and to be counted — for patients, survivors, caregivers, and everyone whose life has touched colorectal cancer.
Colorectal cancer cases in people under 45 have been rising sharply, and too many younger patients are diagnosed late because no one, including their doctors, was looking for it yet. This project exists to put real faces and real ages next to that trend, and to advocate for lowering the recommended colonoscopy screening age so it actually reflects who's getting sick.
We also want to make sure people 45 and older aren't skipping their screenings. If you have a family history of colorectal cancer, or symptoms like changes in your bowel habits, blood in your stool, or unexplained weight loss, please talk to your doctor regardless of your age. Early detection is what makes this cancer so survivable.
"I didn't think 34 was old enough to worry about this. Turns out age is just a number colorectal cancer doesn't check." — a story shared here
